Reducing Intensive The first day of this two-day workshop concentrates on working with a variety of reducing silver glass. Students will explore the many facets of different flame chemistry, along with Hayley's own process, to bring out all the different luster colors, often within one silver glass. Students will also learn how to best capture and RETAIN the pearlescent effects under encasement.
Striking Demystified The second day of this two-day workshop concentrates on learning to work with a variety of striking silver glass, including silver glass thats both reducing and striking, such as Double Helixs Clio and Kalypso. Students will learn how to achieve and recognize the first strike, thus enabling them to duplicate the striking sequence on their own. Students will learn how to best captureand RETAINthe effects under encasement. In addition, students will learn the layering process to get the popular PINK iridescent effect.
Students must be at an advanced beginner skill level and comfortable working on a fuel/oxygen mix torch.
